Quebec jury sequestered for 20-year-old cold case murder trial of Marc-André Grenon, charged with first-degree murder and sexual assault of Guylaine Potvin in 2000.
A jury in Quebec has been sequestered as they begin to hear evidence in a 20-year-old cold case murder. Marc-André Grenon is charged with the first-degree murder and sexual assault of 19-year-old Guylaine Potvin in 2000. The defence admits Grenon broke into Potvin's apartment and killed her during a robbery attempt, but denies he planned the killing or sexually assaulted the victim while she was alive. The Crown argues Grenon killed Potvin in the course of a sexual assault.
