Monash University leads a consortium to develop next-gen cardiac devices with a $50m grant from the Medical Research Future Fund. The grant aims to create three key devices to treat heart failure, potentially halving related deaths and establishing Australia as a global leader in cardiac medical technology. The Artificial Heart Frontiers Program brings together five universities, three clinical partners, and an Australian-grown company to develop the Total Artificial Heart.
