Finland's Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated that there is no need for the deployment of US nuclear weapons on Finnish soil, as NATO already provides sufficient nuclear deterrence through the nuclear weapons already deployed in several NATO countries. Finland became a NATO member on April 4, 2023, and the Finnish government has signed a defense military agreement with the US to strengthen its defense in case of conflict.
