Country music legend Loretta Lynn's granddaughter, Emmy Russell, is set to compete on the next episode of American Idol season 22. The 25-year-old revealed her audition to her local Tennessee newspaper, stating she was "shy and scared" but wanted to be around other young creatives. Russell made her Grand Ole Opry debut last April in honor of what would have been her grandmother's 91st birthday.
