BBC Scotland cancels The Nine news programme due to low viewership, replacing it with a 30-minute show.

BBC Scotland has announced the axing of its flagship news programme, The Nine, following years of low viewing figures. The hour-long show, introduced in 2019, will be replaced by a 30-minute programme on the BBC Scotland channel immediately after its half-hour Reporting Scotland bulletin on BBC One. The Nine aimed to report on regional, national, and global events from a "Scottish perspective".
