Vietnam's Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh, instructs the Ministry of Public Security to consider expanding the country's visa exemption policy to additional foreign countries, based on current situations and Vietnam's relationships with those nations. This move aims to facilitate international tourists and boost the tourism sector, as Vietnam welcomes more foreign visitors. In 2022, the country exceeded its initial target of 8 million foreign tourists, welcoming 12.6 million, and aims to receive 17-18 million foreign arrivals in 2024.
