Baltimore mayoral candidate Sheila Dixon criticizes low number of citations issued by BPD.
Baltimore mayoral candidate Sheila Dixon has criticized the low number of citations issued by the Baltimore Police Department, stating that "heads would roll" if she were mayor. Her comments come in response to a Baltimore City Council meeting where it was revealed that only 37 citations have been written by the police since July, despite an initiative by State's Attorney Ivan Bates. The citations are for low-level offenses such as loitering, drinking in public, and drug possession.
