Nigeria's IPMAN threatens Anambra strike due to over-taxation, harassment by state agencies.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (IPMAN) in Anambra State has threatened to cease operations over alleged arrests of its members, excessive taxes, and interference in their businesses by the state government. IPMAN Chairman, Chinedu Anyaso, claims that despite an agreement with the state government, members continue to be harassed and detained by ASWAMA, signage officials, and Ocha Brigade officials. The association has called for a collective tax payable by all members to prevent multiple taxation.
