Georgia introduces "Addy's Law" to require school districts to move bus stops to safer sides of busy streets after 8-year-old Adalyn Pierce's death.

Addy's Law, or Senate Bill 492, is a proposed law in Georgia aimed at improving school bus safety after the tragic death of 8-year-old Addalyn Pierce. The bill, which was introduced in memory of Pierce, who was hit by a car while crossing the street to board her school bus, would require public school districts to ensure that bus stops where students get on and off the bus are on the same side of the road as the bus door. The legislation has received support from both the Pierce family and State Senator Rick Williams, who drafted the bill.
