Unresponsive inmate at Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston died after transport to Riverview ER; autopsy pending.
On Wednesday, February 14, an unresponsive inmate at the Northwest Regional Correction Center in Crookston was transported to Riverview ER, where he was pronounced deceased. The Polk County Sheriff's Office and Crookston Area Ambulance were dispatched to the facility at 9 a.m. The name of the deceased inmate will not be released until family members have been notified. An autopsy will be conducted at the UND Medical Examiners Office, and the case remains active. No further information has been released as of late Wednesday morning, February 14.
