The new malaria vaccine shows effectiveness in protecting children.

A new malaria vaccine has shown to be 68%-75% effective in protecting children under 1.5 years old in a phase 3 study. The vaccine's efficacy is similar to that of the already approved malaria vaccine, and it could help meet the high demand for such vaccines. Malaria affects an estimated 200 million people globally each year, with 600,000 of those patients dying, including 450,000 children under 5 years old.
