A grand jury has indicted Gregory Landers, 53, on first-degree manslaughter charges in the August 2022 death of Acey Morrison, a 30-year-old transgender Native American woman in Pennington County, South Dakota. Landers was arrested in Decatur, Indiana, and the investigation is led by the Pennington County Sheriff's Office with support from the Rapid City Police Department. Landers faces additional charges of unauthorized ingestion of a controlled drug or substance and possession of a firearm by a person with a prior drug conviction.
