GM merges Ultra Cruise and Super Cruise teams to focus on expanding the Super Cruise feature with growing road coverage.

General Motors (GM) is set to expand its Super Cruise hands-free driving system, a feature that enables near-autonomous driving, to nearly a million miles of roadways across North America. Super Cruise, which debuted in the 2018 Cadillac CT6, allows the vehicle to control acceleration, braking, and steering on previously mapped roads. The system's coverage has grown from less than 200,000 miles to 400,000 miles of highway and is now poised to add an additional 350,000 miles, including rural and county roads.
