UFC CEO Dana White has discussed the causes behind the delayed return of Conor McGregor to the fighting arena. The main obstacle is McGregor's recovery from a serious leg injury sustained in July 2021. However, it's not just the physical healing that's prolonging his comeback, but also his financial independence and successful ventures outside of fighting, including ownership of businesses and alcoholic beverage brands, which add complexity to negotiations with the fighter.
