St. Paul Public Library adopts a new designed library card, leaving state flag debate unsettled.

The popular "Laser Eye Loon" flag design was not chosen as the new state flag for Minnesota, but it has found a new life as a library card design for the St. Paul Public Library. Although some residents are disappointed that it will not become the state flag, its incorporation into library cards provides a creative and unique way to showcase the design. The ongoing flag debate in Minnesota has not yet reached a conclusion on whether the current design will be retained or not, as a decision was made by a group of commissioners instead of allowing all Minnesotans to vote. St. Paul residents can receive a free library card featuring the design while supplies last, or current cardholders can get a replacement card with the design or a card-sized sticker.
