German battery maker Varta has reported that five of its production plants were hit by a cyberattack, with the extent of the damage yet to be determined. The company has temporarily shut down production and IT systems for security reasons, and a task force has been established to restore operations as quickly as possible. Varta shares dropped nearly 3% following the announcement.
