British Columbia police seize $11m of contraband cigarettes in largest single-day haul, connected to gang & organized crime.

Police in British Columbia have executed the largest one-time seizure of contraband cigarettes in the province's history, valued at an estimated $11 million. The investigation, spanning several communities, targeted a drug-and-contraband-tobacco trafficking organization connected to gangs and organized crime. In addition to the contraband cigarettes, authorities seized 32 firearms, eight vehicles, and four arrests were made, although they have since been released pending further judicial process.
