UW-Madison Police Chief Kristen Roman has resigned amid an ongoing investigation into workplace misconduct allegations. The university has not provided a reason for Roman's departure, but stated that the investigation does not involve any allegations of criminal conduct. Brent Plisch, previously assistant chief for administration and support, has been appointed as interim chief. UW-Madison will conduct a national search for a new police chief.
