Tyler Perry has expanded his creative partnership with Netflix to include a first-look series deal, the company announced. Under the multi-year deal, Netflix has greenlit the first series, titled "Beauty in Black," consisting of 16 one-hour episodes. The drama series, written, directed, and produced by Perry, is set to address two women leading very different lives. The first series under the partnership was established in 2023, under which Perry will write, direct, and produce feature films.
