Squamish Hospital Foundation receives $900,000 from Woodfibre LNG for a new CT scanner, approved by the BC government.

Woodfibre LNG has donated $900,000 to the Squamish Hospital Foundation, allowing them to purchase a new Computed Tomography (CT) scanner for the Squamish General Hospital. This scanner will improve access to medical services in the region, reducing the need for patients to travel to North Vancouver or Whistler for CT scans. The new CT scanner is expected to be operational in 2025, and will also help free up local ambulances and improve response times for the area.
