Google has rolled out its 'Companion mode' on Android and iOS devices for Google Meet. This feature allows users to connect during meetings and seamlessly combines in-room audio and video conferencing capabilities with interactive features such as sharing emoji reactions, raising hands, turning on captions, and exchanging chat messages. It was previously restricted to laptops/desktops. This feature is gradually rolling out to Rapid Release domains and will be available to all Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace Individual customers, and those with personal Google accounts.
