Cruise appoints former Ford exec Steve Kenner as Chief Safety Officer.
General Motors' autonomous vehicle subsidiary, Cruise, has appointed former Ford executive Steve Kenner as its new Chief Safety Officer. Kenner, who has held top safety positions at multiple companies over almost four decades, started the job on Monday. He will be responsible for overseeing Cruise's safety management systems and operations, working in direct partnership with the Cruise Board of Directors.
