Beacon Hospital, a private hospital in Dublin, is being sold to Australian asset management firm Macquarie Asset Management for between €400 million and €500 million. The sale marks a decade since Denis O'Brien, the majority shareholder, and associates bought the hospital from US care group UPMC. The hospital had a turnover of €201.9 million in 2022, up from €188.5 million the previous year, and a pre-tax profit of €1 million. Michael Cullen, the hospital's CEO, will remain in his role and a shareholder after the deal is completed.
