Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the social reformer Swami Dayanand Saraswati on his 200th birth anniversary. He acknowledged the social reformer's efforts in advocating for an education system based on Indian values and returning to the Vedas during a time when people were trapped in slavery and superstitions. The Prime Minister stated that the National Education Policy is taking forward Swami Dayanand's vision and that it is now expanding through the National Education Policy. It is our responsibility to connect society with these efforts, he added.
