Northern Ireland Children's Hospice maintains unchanged stance on service reduction despite Health Minister Robin Swann restoring £85k funding and requesting officials assess bed cuts for the best way forward.

The Northern Ireland Children's Hospice (NICH) has announced its plan to consider cutting bed places due to a financial outlook that has been negatively impacted by the loss of state funding and the cost-of-living crisis. NICH provides specialist palliative care for more than 350 babies, children, and their families every year and faces challenges in securing the remaining two-thirds of required funding.
