North Tura Beach steps restored by volunteers during a February 11 working bee organized by the NTBRA.

On February 11th, a community working bee led by the North Tura Beach Residents Association (NTBRA) restored the 100 steps access point to North Tura Beach. Twenty volunteers repainted the steps, which were provided with paint and materials by the Bega Valley Shire Council. These steps, built in the 1990s, have experienced frequent wear due to their oceanfront location. The NTBRA is now considering the possibility of replacing the timber steps with low-maintenance materials like carbon fiber in a medium to long-term plan, which would require detailed design, costing, and substantial grant applications.
