Lagos State issues 4-day ultimatum for squatters and motor park operators to leave Obalende bridge, aiming to restore aesthetics and enforce highway crossing prohibition.

The Lagos State government has issued a four-day ultimatum to squatters under the Obalende bridge and illegal motor park operators to relocate. The government aims to restore the aesthetics of Obalende and will have LASPARK work on the beautification and landscaping of Obalende under bridge, Apongbon underbridge, and Ebute Ero underbridge in the coming months. In addition, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has been directed to arrest and prosecute anyone crossing highways across the state, as it is prohibited by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Protection Law 2017.
