Kenyan marathon world record holder died in road accident.

Kenyan marathon world record holder, Kelvin Kiptum, and his Rwandese coach, Garvais Hakizimana, have tragically died in a road accident in Kenya. The 24-year-old athlete had recently made history, breaking compatriot Eliud Kipchoge's world record at the Chicago Marathon in October. Kiptum was due to race in the Rotterdam Marathon in April, where there was much anticipation for an attempt to break the two-hour barrier in an official race for the first time. World Athletics President, Seb Coe, paid tribute to Kiptum, describing him as an "incredible athlete leaving an incredible legacy."
