Jordan and Iraq have signed an agreement to supply Iraq with electricity. Under the agreement, Jordan will initially provide Iraq with a capacity of 40 megawatts in the first phase, with plans to increase this capacity to 150-200 megawatts during a second phase set to begin in the third quarter of 2024. The agreement is part of a broader plan to establish a common Arab energy market in the future.
