Developers in Gozo have praised the decision by Gozo and Planning Minister Clint Camilleri to introduce a policy requiring stone facades on new buildings in the area. The Malta Development Association (MDA) has called for some flexibility in the policy, allowing for other aesthetically pleasing materials to be used. The policy aims to create buildings in line with the traditional architectural characteristics of Gozitan villages, and the Planning Authority will issue a circular to this effect.
