United Healthcare, Baptist Health settle, restore insurance coverage for patients.

United Healthcare and Baptist Health have restored their in-network agreement after a rate disagreement on January 1. The issues in reaching the settlement included reimbursement rates for Arkansas hospitals being below the national average and the increase in healthcare costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Baptist officials. The multi-year agreement covers employer-sponsored and individual commercial plans, Medicare Advantage and Group Retiree plans, and Dual Special Needs Plans, ensuring UnitedHealthcare members have access to Baptist Health's physicians and facilities across Arkansas.
