Fonner Park, Nebraska's largest racetrack, will not simulcast races in US for 2nd consecutive year due to noncompliance with 2022 federal racetrack safety regulations.

Fonner Park, Nebraska's largest racetrack, will not simulcast its races to the rest of the US for the second consecutive year due to its noncompliance with new federal racetrack safety regulations that were introduced in 2022. These rules, which are part of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act, aim to enforce uniform safety and integrity rules in thoroughbred racing nationwide, including widened veterinary oversight, surface maintenance and testing, and jockey safety measures. A second set of regulations targeting doping went into effect at the start of 2023.
