Samsung's Galaxy Watch sleep apnea detection feature approved by FDA; not a substitute for professional diagnosis.

Samsung's Galaxy Watch sleep apnea feature has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The feature detects signs of sleep apnea in users over 22 who haven't been diagnosed with the condition, over a two-night monitoring period. It is expected to be useful as the National Sleep Foundation estimates that around 25% of men and 10% of women in the US suffer from sleep apnea. However, Samsung advises users not to rely on the feature as a replacement for traditional diagnosis and treatment methods provided by healthcare professionals.
