Nelson Bay 18 Girls' team defeated Orange 6-5 in a grand final.
The Nelson Bay 18 Girls team secured their position as U-18 champions at the Peter Wilson Memorial Touch Tournament, defeating Orange in a thrilling 6-5 final. Over 2400 players from 160 teams participated in the event, which drew approximately 9000 visitors to Port Stephens. The Nelson Bay Touch Football Association has seen significant growth in recent years, making it one of the most important junior touch tournaments within the state. Mudgee Mudcrabs, another local touch football club, also showcased their talents during the tournament, with 4 teams participating.
