The MV World Odyssey, known as the world's largest floating campus and often referred to as "Semester at Sea," has docked in Mombasa, Kenya. The cruise ship allows undergraduate students, recent university graduates, and students on a gap year to study for a semester at sea, involving visits to different countries for cultural and historical learning. During their stay, students will visit institutions of higher learning, explore the city, and visit wildlife parks. The vessel has been visiting Kenya annually since 2022 and is operated by the Institute for Shipboard Education.
