A dog was rescued from the Red River, with a man also successfully rescued after entering the water to help.

A dog has been rescued from the Red River on Thursday afternoon after it fell in and a man went in after it. Emergency crews were called to the dam area near River Oaks Park due to a report of a dog falling into the river. The Moorhead Fire Department's C-Shift crew, along with members of the Moorhead and Fargo Fire Departments and officers from multiple law enforcement agencies, responded to the scene. The dog was rescued, and both it and the man who went into the river to save it are safe and unharmed.
