Delta Air Lines opens new premium airport lounge at NYC's JFK in June, targeting high-spending travelers with food, wellness areas.

Delta Air Lines is set to launch premium airport lounges in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston. The move follows a similar strategy used by United and American Airlines to cater to high-spending international business-class travelers. The airline plans to open the first "premium" lounge in June at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, followed by lounges in Los Angeles and Boston. The new lounges will feature gourmet dining options and wellness areas. Delta's focus on premium revenue increased by 26% last year, generating $19.1 billion in sales.
