A 23-year-old homeless man, Josh Guilder, has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for a series of incidents where he stole dummies from babies' mouths and assaulted one child in Harlow, Essex, between February 10 and August 7 last year. Guildere, who had never been weaned off dummies, would take the items to soothe himself. Essex Police arrested him on August 15 and charged him with five counts of theft, three counts of common assault, and a public order offense.
