Rare loggerhead sea turtle rescued from hypothermia near Victoria, BC.

A loggerhead sea turtle, a species rarely seen in British Columbia waters, was rescued after being discovered suffering from hypothermia near Victoria. The turtle, nicknamed Moira, was found with a core temperature of only 8.4°C in Pedder Bay between Victoria and Sooke. Local marine biologist Anna Hall was the first to respond to the situation and played a critical role in the rescue effort.
