Between 2023 and February 2024, Malaysia's MACC recovers over RM23 million in assets linked to scandal-hit 1MDB fund, with a total of RM29.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has recovered over RM23 million ($4.83 million) in assets connected to the scandal-ridden 1MDB state fund between 2023 and February 2024. The assets were recovered through court orders and the voluntary surrender of assets. Since 2019, a total of RM29.03 billion of 1MDB assets has been returned through the cooperation of MACC, the Special Task Force on 1MDB Asset Recovery, and foreign agencies.
