Cameco, a Canadian uranium producer, reported a net profit of CAD 80 million ($59.4 million) for the latest quarter, a significant increase from a loss of CAD 15 million in the same period the previous year. The company attributed the growth to higher sales volumes and realized prices in its uranium and fuel services businesses. Cameco's earnings per share reached CAD 0.18 compared to a loss of CAD 0.04 a share a year ago.
