Kyra Cooney-Cross, a 21-year-old soccer player from Ballarat, has been selected for the final Olympic qualifier with the Australian Matildas. The team needs to win against Uzbekistan in a two-leg, home-and-away tie to secure a place in the Paris Olympics. Michelle Heyman, a highly experienced player with the greatest goal-scoring record in Australian women's domestic history, has also been added to the team as a replacement for injured captain Sam Kerr.
