Indian trade with Pakistan continues via sea and air routes despite land border suspension in 2019.

The Indian government has confirmed that trade with Pakistan continues, despite the suspension of land border trade by Pakistan in 2019. Union Minister Anupriya Patel explained that trade with Pakistan is now conducted through sea and air routes, with ports such as Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Mundra SEZ, and Air Cargo Complexes in Mumbai and Hyderabad involved. Patel emphasized that it is Pakistan's responsibility to allow Indian goods to transit to Central Asian countries through their territory.
