Ikea commits to opening its fifth 'plan and order' store in Carlow, Ireland, expanding its Irish market presence.

Ikea is set to open its fifth plan and order point in Ireland at the end of February, in Carlow's Fairgreen Shopping Centre. These specialist stores focus on bespoke kitchen and wardrobe design planning, offering customers access to home furnishing advice and expertise. IKEA Ireland's Market Manager, Martyn Allan, said the Carlow store will help people living far away from the Ballymun store in Dublin with their IKEA purchases. The company is also upgrading its flagship Irish store in Ballymun with a €4.5 million project, opening a children's department and a refurbished bedrooms department, and plans to open a new Customer Distribution Centre in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin later this spring, which will expedite deliveries to customers by reducing delivery times from 7-10 days to 2-3 days.
