K-9 dog Zoltan, a 9-year-old cancer-stricken German Shepherd, retires from Lancaster City Police service after 8 years.

Zoltan, a 9-year-old K-9 dog with the Lancaster City Police, has retired due to advancing cancer. The Hungarian-born German Shepherd has been trained in patrol and narcotics detection and has served the community for eight years. Officer J. Hatfield has been supporting Zoltan as he undergoes a second round of cancer treatment. Despite spending several months in remission, the B-cell lymphoma returned, leading to their decision to retire the brave service dog.
