Vietnamese study finds higher insomnia risk in COVID-19 patients.

A new study by Vietnamese researchers has found that recovering COVID-19 patients, especially those with pre-existing anxiety or depression, are more likely to experience insomnia. The study, published in Frontiers in Public Health, surveyed 1,056 adults who had COVID-19 but were not hospitalized and found that 76.1% of participants reported insomnia symptoms. Of these, 22.8% said their insomnia was severe. The results highlight the importance of addressing sleep disturbances in COVID-19 patients, particularly those with mental health conditions.
