NY State updates hunting/sporting licenses to plain paper, allows at-home printing of online licenses to reduce carbon footprint.

New York State is updating its hunting and sporting licenses. By August 1, paper licenses and tags will be made on plain paper instead of the current special stock synthetic paper, making the purchasing process easier and quicker. Online licenses and tags can soon be printed at home, reducing the state's carbon footprint and keeping the licensing program in line with emerging technologies. Licenses can still be purchased in person, online, or over the phone.
