Douglas County in Nevada has closed offices and schools on Monday, February 5, due to heavy snow and dangerous driving conditions. Essential public safety, corrections, courts, and elections personnel will still report to work. Sheriff Coverley advises against nonessential travel during these conditions. Voting centers will remain open for the Presidential Preference Primary on Tuesday, February 6, as they are considered essential. The county will reopen offices when it is safe to do so.
