Creston orchard experiences 100% bud mortality on soft fruit trees due to record-breaking cold snap.

A Creston orchard's soft fruit supply has been entirely wiped out due to record-breaking winter weather in the area. The Creston Valley experienced unusually low temperatures between January 12 and 14, with thermometers dropping to -27.2 degrees Celsius. This extreme cold caused the soft fruit trees at Wloka Farms to suffer 100% bud mortality, affecting various types of fruits such as peaches, apricots, prunes, plums, nectarines, and cherries.
