Pacific Community anticipates rapid regional COVID-19 vaccinations within months, contrary to Economist Intelligence Unit's projection of up to 2025 for some island nations.

The Pacific Community believes that the wait for some Pacific island nations to vaccinate their populations may be shorter than initially thought, only taking a few months instead of years. The Economist Intelligence Unit had previously estimated that some countries may not vaccinate at least 60% of their populations until 2025. The COVAX facility aims for an April rollout for the Pacific.
